Adventure Profiles: Caitlin, The River Ninja!
Caitlin can best be described as a River Ninja. While rafting through the Grand Canyon, she navigated through every major rapid like a true professional, hitting every predetermined line with seemingly effortless technique followed with perfect precision. She kept her composure, never bragging about or flaunting her superior ability when behind a pair of oars. Caitlin’s combination of competency and humble presence was a pleasure to have on our team.
Her definition of adventure has a central theme of following intimidating opportunities. There is no doubt she is following an adventurous lifestyle with her recent achievement of a Wilderness EMT certification, prospects of becoming a skydiving instructor, and continuing her river guiding career in Moab, Utah and with Grand Canyon Youth. Be on the lookout for this young river runner, she is going to continue killing it for years to come in the outdoor industry!
What is your definition of adventure?
"My definition of adventure is doing what scares you; going for the things that are radical and you believe you would never do in a million years. Whether that’s asking out someone you have fallen in love with or base jumping off of a building, just simply finding something that exhilarates you. I bring adventure into my life by doing what was just described. I think of things that require me to think twice about that may be properly intimidating. I find myself asking critical questions and breaking down the excuses I tell myself. I know that the experiences that come out of adventure are the most rewarding thing, way more rewarding than if I had said, no. Being a little bit of a, “Yes-man” is being adventurous!"
